Joel Pitney is a writer and founder of the company Launch My Book, Inc. He was a part of the EnlightenNext community and worked very closely with Andrew Cohen for 10 years. He also wrote for What Is Enlightenment? Magazine, a publication that was a widely distributed and highly renowned publication in it’s genre. Joel is currently writing a book about his experiences at EnlightenNext, tentatively titled, “Project Utopia”. He also lives in in Bend, Oregon with his wife, Laura (who will also be on the podcast!), and their son, Jackson.
In this podcast you will learn about how Joel and I met at a time when we were both in high demand groups but most importantly, you will hear about his experience in EnlightenNext as well as his thoughts about how and why it fell apart. This story is one that is not readily available online and yet Andrew Cohen’s following was substantial and then seemingly ended abruptly in 2013. Joel shares his observations and thoughts about all of this with a refreshing perspective and insight that only those who were part of the so called inner community of such groups might have.
